Today has been a very good day. I am officially eight days away from my 25th birthday, as of 2:25 p.m. this afternoon. I am also 17 days away from my first college graduation. I say first because I have decided to attend graduate school. I will be enrolling into the MBA program at UALR this fall. My decision making commenced at the arrival of a very important letter informing me of a scholarship. I had been asking for a sign and have the attitude of “point taken.”
One of my favorite things during this senior year has been getting to know my friend, Bingjie. She is an international student from China and will be heading back in a couple of weeks. I am very sad to see her go, but excited to visit her in China! We bonded over a mutual concern for our grade point averages in Business Finance last semester. It was a TOUGH class and I’m positive I would never have seen it through without Bingjie’s help! I sincerely enjoyed all of our conversations about cultural differences, shopping, and places we’ve been and want to go. She is the most intelligent person I have ever met, so I assume that one day I will visit her on Wall Street in NYC or maybe in Washington, D.C. doing something insane like inventing a time machine. Whatever the future holds, I know we will always be friends.
